The Tron

When we broke down and limped into the Hamilton Holiday Park my brother rang and wanted to help us to escape ‘The Tron’. He would have come and picked us up and taken us back to Auckland, his chosen mecca. We had never been in the tron so we elected to stay.

So far the tron hasn’t threatened us in any way. What is ‘The Tron”?

Anyway we visited the Hamilton Gardens yesterday and we are very glad we stayed. They are wonderful. They are free. They are amazing. They are worth a trip down from Auckland.

Visitors have called them a ‘hidden gem’. I agree and will say no more, except to say if you are passing through Hamilton think about stopping at these gardens.

Hamilton has the free bus service too for older people. Yay, since the car has issues. I do struggle with apps, not the apps fault. I think it is some kind of visual impairment or brain fault as it takes me longer than others to understand the bells and whistles embedded in an app. With this Hamilton bus app I have stood at the wrong bus stop, waiting for the wrong bus, at the wrong time.

Perseverance and timely pointers from my husband have however paid off. Just saying, we got muddled up getting to those Hamilton gardens but were trojans finding the correct bus back.

Now I can’t wait to whizz directly to the town centre. We haven’t made it yet although we did try the other day. I am not sure where the bus went. Luckily it seemed to change direction and we returned to where we started.

What is the town centre? Lots to find out yet about ‘The Tron’.
